Lameness Update

So, John Belushi and I have broken up. I'm currently not eating, drinking lots of wine and watching Bridget Jones' Diary on repeat. Just waiting on Colin Firth to leave his wife and show up on my doorstep.

I'm not writing this for sympathy, just for an update. I'm working on thinking positively and embodying inspirational thoughts. Mardi Gras in Shreveport is this weekend. Let's hope my friends don't leave me face down in a gutter.

Email of the Day: Sorority Edition

"Dear ******** Casting,

Today I was suppost to be at your agency for a photo shoot for the soroity girls, and to be maybe picked to be a core sorority girl as well. I will not be able to make it, becasue of me going to get my hair done. They screwed it up this past monday and I been there 3 days since to try to get it corrected. It is not blonde any longer and they made it this horrible streaky brown and blondish yellow color. I look like a skunk and it really sucks. I am so sorry. I been trying to get this fixed homing it would be ready for today. I even went this morning and they said for me to get it corrected for free it needs to be by this same guy that screwed it up. I am really sorry and if there was another date I could attend I would love to."

Hope everyone's doing well. I'm having a great time here in the NOLA. Learning the city, learning the culture, etc. I make little mini-goals for myself when I leave my hotel. I get nervous stomach every time I drive, but hopefully once I'm comfortable here, that will subside. I had some Bloody Marys yesterday so I'm nice and puffy today. The bartender was nice enough to make a sweet little innocent display in one of them.



I spent all day on Saturday, strolling along Magazine and getting my boundaries. I had a lonesome dining experience as well. I hate dining alone, but doing so teaches me to learn to be more independent. On Sunday, I ventured via streetcar to the French Quarter. I got myself a prize:




I'll be home for Thanksgiving. I can't wait to see John's face. He could use the relief from crying himself to sleep every night.

I'm moving to New Orleans to work on the next film project down there. Don't worry your pretty little heads, it's not permanent. But I'm excited!!!! If I cant actually be in France, at least I can be amongst the French Quarter, baby!
